Dear Margaret

It’s amazing to finally find someone willing to be so totally transparent with her life journey and the struggles attached to a life of terrible sexual abuse! “Scars Don’t Hurt” has helped me see the importance of forgiveness. Forgetting my past does not mean I have forgiven. Seeing you deal with family secrets, secret sins, and the greatest battle of all “Forgiving” even when you hurt has blessed and encouraged me. This is definitely a book I can use to direct others to reveal what so many of us choose to keep hidden.

Thank you, Marg, for this incredible book.

Dear Margaret

Well...........I couldn't put it down. I know this sounds silly, but I was fortunate enough to get sick this weekend, keeping me on the couch or in bed all day Sunday. This gave me a chance to read. I started the book Saturday and finished Sunday evening. I laughed and cried, making Peter ask me several times if I was okay.
Thank you for sharing all that you have. This book can help anyone, not just survivors of abuse. It is very inspirational. I will be passing it on to some of my girlfriends.

Thanks. Love you lots.
Brenda
Dear Blake,

I finished reading Scars Don’t Hurt on Friday at 10am and I could not put it down. I cried, many times, there were a couple of laughs and many more, more, more, cries. I think this book would be such an encouragement to women who have gone through ABUSE (no matter what the age) and how they can learn to Lean on God to HEAL them. There are a few people in my extended family that I would like to pass copies of the book too, knowing what they have been through and some still at the point of holding on to a grudge. And I know deep inside there are times where it is doing so much damage. I really admire your mom for getting the courage to write this book. I am praying that She will have many opportunities to help other women. Thank you for helping her with this. I was blessed by the book - thank you.

Sincerely,
Sharon
Dear Margaret

I would like to thank you very much for coming into our class and spilling your life to us. I found it very inspiring and now when I am with women, I take things a lot slower and respect them a lot more. I wish no one would ever get abused again.

Sincerely,
Tom
Dear Margaret

First of all I would like to thank you for coming to share with our class. Your story of tremendous hope, courage, and forgiveness is the most moving and inspirational story I have story I have ever heard. It truly touched me and I honestly feel privileged to have heard your story. I feel that our world is a much better place because God has blessed us with you.
I can’t imagine the pain you must have gone through and the fact that you were able to forgive and learn the way of God is incredible. Thank you for you extreme courage and determination. May God Bless you always and I hope your prosperity continues.

Sincerely,
Michael
 Dear Margaret

I really appreciated you coming to our school to tell us about your life. It really made me see that not everyone’s life is perfect.
You had a lot of confidence and pride to write a book, but more so to speak with kids our age about mature topics.  As I looked around the room as you talked about your unfortunate events in your childhood, I noticed you had everyone’s attention, and it takes a lot to get the attention from kids our age. The students connected to what you were saying.

Sincerely,
Dominique
My Dearest Family, Friends & Intercessors for "Scars Don't Hurt",

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for all the prayer that you engaged in on my behalf.

There were many times during the last 2 months that I was able to experience the results/answers of your prayers.

I was able to minister powerfully while in Misstissini, Quebec on the Easter weekend. We did four services there. It was a privilege to have Bill with me during this time of ministry. I delivered the message of forgiveness and it was received by many. There was a very fruitful ministry time where I was able to pray with many and see God input hope into their lives.

Bill & I traveled to Greely near Ottawa at Parkway Road Church I spoke on Sunday morning and delivered the message of  "The Myths of Forgiveness", again God reached people in their need.

On May 1st I traveled to Bethel Gospel Tabernacle in Hamilton with Barb Eitze. I shared a message entitled "The Rocks In My Heart". We stand in awe at how God helps us.

On May 9th I traveled with Bill to Lucan near London, Ontario to a Blossom Tea. There were 300 women in attendance. It was a great time of God moving and ministering.

On May 10th I traveled by plane to Calgary, I was privileged to minister at a retreat for Church in the Hills in Calgary.  I spoke 3 times during my time there. A highlight of this weekend was when my daughter Shawn and I shared as mother and daughter and people could actually see the result of praying for one's loved ones.

I was also able to spend some quality time with my daughter Shawn and her family.

Below is part of a letter from a pastor where I spoke recently:

I'm still hearing good things on your ministry with us. So many people have commented on your courage to share your story. It ministered to so many people who can identify in some way. I received an email from ------------- on Tuesday after you were here. She sounded so upbeat and determined to just be the best mother and wife she could be. She seemed to have a resolve that life was going to be better because she was going to make it better with God's help. Others have read the book and were strengthen by it. Others have asked for the CD of the message so they can give it to someone. I personally appreciated how you share your story. It's not just about you, it's about the power of God and the difference he makes in the worst circumstances of life. Your use of scripture and biblical illustrations brings out so well Romans 8:28. All things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to the purpose of God.

Margaret  you are certainly called by God to share your story for such a time as this. Although this happened many years ago and it's been a long difficult journey, the need for your ministry of telling your story has never been more significant than today. Unforgiveness is one of great bondages of our day, not only in the world but in the church. May God continue to use you to see people delivered from this burden they think they have the right to carry. All the while they're actually being robbed of the freedom they can have in their walk with God.

During the last 2 months there has been great sales of the book and that brings great excitement because it continues to get the message of freedom gained through forgiveness out to many.
As a gift It is being recognized as an effective way for people to get the message of Christ to their loved ones and friends.

Thank you again for your continued prayer support as it is a vital part of God's ministry to the world and you have a part in their deliverance.

Blessings,
Margaret Davidson
